Abstract
Electrodialysis with ion-exchange membranes is one of the most important methods of desalination and salt manufacture. Prevention of scale formation in dialysis cells and evaporators is one of its main problems. This paper discusses the formation of alkaline scale during the process of heating and concentrating brine obtained by electrodialysis with ion-exchange membranes.
