Abstract
The cladding tube (Zr-Nb alloy) and the end plug (Zr-Sn alloy) were successfully joined using current-introduced solid-state welding. During the welding process, the metals undergo severe plastic deformation and were joined by dynamic recrystallization. With the increase of the forging force, the blasting force of the joint changes little. The joint exhibited a blasting force ranging from 8086 to 9037 N, and the fracture occurred in the cladding tube, away from the weld zone. The blasting fracture mode of joint is ductile fracture.
