Abstract

In this work we report the formation kinetics and microstructural properties of Mg1−xTix powder metal hydride systems (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5), obtained by reactive ball milling (RBM) via three different ways. The resulting MgH2–TiH2 nanocomposites are characterized and an optimal composition is found. Differences among the preparation routes are analyzed.
