Abstract

ABSTRACTSpecific molar ratio mixtures of crystalline trisodium citrate dihydrate and citric acid were milled. The resulting materials exhibited amorphous character as determined by differential scanning calorimetry DSC). Reversion of the amorphous solid solutions to stable crystalline states occurred over a time period of weeks to months and was related to molar ratios and component forms.
