Abstract

The formation and distribution mechanisms of nitrogen oxides as a part of the technological chain of sulfuric acid systems operating in industrial enterprises with the use of sulfur-containing raw materials (sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, and black sulfuric acid) have been investigated. The influence of nitrogen oxides on the decrease of the quality and the amplification of the corrosive activity of production sulfuric acid has been studied. The main directions of the decrease in the content of nitrogen oxides in commercial productions are elaborated.
