Abstract

Thermophysical models which take into account the peculiarities of non-stationary heat exchange and heat mass transfer processes on the friction contact boundary in frictional contact under conditions of intensive heat generation and short duration were derived. The need for an experimental approach to the study of the formation and distribution of heat in a sliding contact was emphasized. The results of the investigations concerning temperature fields and heat fluxes directed into one of the rubbing bodies are presented.
