Abstract
This article proposes a formatting discipline for Pascal programs. The rules are formalized using an Extended Backus-Naur Form (EBNF) description. Their aim is to provide a better view of the syntactic structure of the programs and to ease, by uniformizing the style, the reading of other people's programs. This kind of standard, supported by appropriate prettyprinting tools or language-based editors, should be very helpful to software developing teams.
