Abstract
Colombia es uno de los cinco países más biodiversos del mundo, con más de 50 000 especies registradas que habitan en aproximadamente 8 000 ecosistemas específicos, y que se pueden encontrar a lo largo y ancho del territorio nacional. Esta gran diversidad biológica supone grandísimas ventajas para nuestro país, pero también conlleva enormes retos en relación con la conservación, la gestión y el aprovechamiento sostenible de los recursos naturales que tenemos a disposición.
