Abstract

Miami‐based board consultant Terrie Temkin recommends the following to create a good set of bylaws that will fit your organization's needs: A bylaws committee needs to meet, do the research to find out what is common today and determine if these bylaws are right for the organization. For each bylaw, the board should ask, “Is this benefiting us or potentially harming the organization?”
