Abstract

The development of the Soviet economy in the face of the current scientific and technological revolution requires continuous improvement in the training of specialists and increased effectiveness in higher education and scientific research. At the present time higher education is exerting a greater influence on social and economic progress. This process is undergoing further development in the Ninth Five-Year Plan [1971-1975].
