He has been the Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Neural Network Technical Committee Complex-Valued Neural Network Task Force since 2010. He has been an Associate Editor for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON OF NEURAL NETWORKS AND LEARNING SYSTEMS since 2019. He was the Editor-in-Chief for the IEICE Transactions on Electronics from 2011 to 2012 and an Associate Editor of journals, such as the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON OF NEURAL NETWORKS from 2009 to 2011 and IEEE GEOSCIENCE AND REMOTE SENSING NEWSLETTER from 2009 to 2012
