Abstract
The ACM SIGMETRICS Doctoral Dissertation Award recognizes outstanding thesis research by doctoral candidates in the field of performance evaluation analysis of computer systems. Nominations for the 2023 award were sought from all faculty with graduating Ph.D. students working in performance evaluation, broadly understood. The award winners were determined by a review committee composed by researchers working in different sub-fields of performance evaluation: Urtzi Ayesta (CNRS & Ikerbasque, chair), Giuliano Casale (Imperial College London), Kristy Gardner (Amherst College), Daniel Sadoc Menasche (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), Neil Walton (Durham University) and Weina Wang (Carnegie Mellon University).
