Abstract
Forensic sciences role is to bring answers to judicial questions both in criminal and civilian affairs. Forensic scientist must have knowledge and know-how in these fields as well as a general understanding of justice and law. When we look through Forensic Sciences in Mediterranean countries, we can see different kinds of organisation, which are governed by factors related to these countries. It is important for members of the Mediterranean Academy of forensic sciences to have some thoughts about forensic sciences in the Mediterranean area in order to evaluate the situation and to draw perspectives. That is the purpose of this paper where I will have a global approach and not a detailed analysis of forensic sciences organization in each Mediterranean country.
