Abstract

A variety of bodily fluids can be found at crime scenes during investigations, which can play a crucial role for forensic investigator to link the suspect with the crime scene. Many techniques are primarily being used now days; specifically ALS (alternative light source) at different wavelengths to locate the evidences at crime scenes, Identifying semen in sex crime cases thus becomes very much useful because of the sensitivity of the cases. In this study, different techniques i.e. ALS, AP tests, Florence test, remain spectroscopy, DNA based methods for the identification of seminal fluid has been discussed.
