Abstract
The present article deals with the problems of the foreign language teaching at tourist institutes and is concentrated on the teaching at the Department of European and Oriental languages of MSITI in the context of dialogue of cultures. The process of education provides a dialogue of cultures as a result of which there appears a complex of knowledge of native and other cultures. An important task of training at the Institute is the formation of social and cultural competence by means of a foreign language.
