Abstract

The article discusses the main issues related to foreign experience in supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is shown that the state system of support for small and medium-sized enterprises plays an important role for effective economic development in all countries. The article examines the experience of state support for SMEs in foreign countries, such as China, Japan, Germany, the USA and determines that the implementation of an effective mechanism of state support for SMEs should contribute to improving the standard of living of the population of any country.
