Abstract
In presenting this subject, a careful and painstaking effort has been made to analyze the reports of all cases that have been published in this, as well as in foreign countries. No attempt to review cases through personal communication has been made. A few cases giving fragmentary reports of foreign bodies of dental origin have been reviewed but not included in this analysis, as it is my purpose in this contribution to give an accurate and complete analysis of only those cases reported in detail up to the present time. There have undoubtedly been many more cases of this type but not published. We are all familiar with the work of our contemporaries in this particular field.
