Click to increase image sizeClick to decrease image size SUMMARY In recent years the development of micro-processors has been of vital importance to the structure of the production apparatus, and to the demands made on the employees. The consequences for health and welfare of the increasing use of new technology now appear, for example with increasing insecurity and fear of unemployment. In trying to avoid the negative consequences different strategies have been used. It is concluded that for the moment it is only possible to use training and education of the affected employees in order to avoid the negative consequences relating to health. It is necessary that psychologists in all areas are conscious of these influencing factors and share this knowledge with clients and other affected persons.
