Abstract
Paleogene sea deposits biostratigraphic chart of the Eastern Azov region based on foraminifera is proposed. Foraminiferal associations of the Upper Belokamian (complex with Anomalina danica, Cibicidoides ex gr. lectus), Kachian (Acarinina subsphaerica), Simpheropolian (Acarinina bullbrooki), Novopavlovkian (Acarinina rotundimarginata, Hantkenina alabamensis), Kumian (Subbotina turkmenica), Almian (beds with Globigerapsis tropicalis, beds with Bolivina antegressa) and Planorbellian (beds with Trifarina transcaspiensis, beds with Lenticulina herrmanni, beds with Spiroplectammina carinata oligocenica) regional stages are described. Correlation of the Novoazov, the Scherbak and the Sachan bodies, the Jelanchik and the Borisphen suites of the Eastern Azov region with units of the Western Azov region and the Azov-Kuban depression are carried out.
