For Sale, Lease, or Rent: A Curriculum for an Undergraduate Program in Rhetoric

mittees at about the time it became apparent that our enrollment would drop, that our budget would be restricted, and that new programs had little chance of approval (unless, perhaps, they had ready-made, built-in, three-color audience appeal for recruiting, and made some-you might say-viable claims on urban studies, ecology, and affective learning). As a consequence, our program has not won budget approval here. We therefore offer this program in auction: the whole may be had, title-free, for two thousand digressios; monthly rental is thirty tropes, yearly lease being figured at the same rate. We think that there are ample and urgent reasons for commencing an undergraduate major program in rhetoric, and we wish to cite particular features of the program we devised. Almost all of us, at least part of the time, are devout intramural provincials.
