Abstract
The model of Public Service Broadcasting has occupied a special place in the narratives of democracy and citizenship in the Western world. Historically, the PSB system has been seen as a major European institution that embodies all that is considered noble and diachronic of European values, with particular attention to democratic standards of political and civic life and commitment to culture and education as the elements of ‘good life’ and enlightenment. Moreover, we associate Public Service Broadcasting/Media (PSB/PSM) with the concepts of citizenship and democracy, culture and pluralism.
