Abstract

Introduction: Static foot posture(supinated/pronated) is thought to be an intrinsic risk factor to musculoskeletal injuries because it alters lower limb dynamics. Understanding this relationship can better guide training programmes, clinical assessment and treatment for injury prevention. Hence, the aim of this literature review is to investigate the relationship between static foot posture and lower limb kinematics and kinetics during dynamic gait (walking and running) in the healthy adult population.
