Abstract
Pediatric foot and ankle deformities are extremely common and span a wide spectrum of severity, affecting the bones, tendons, and muscles of the foot and ankle. Common disorders include a cavus foot, tarsal coalitions, clubfoot, flat feet, and bunions. Pediatric foot and ankle deformities are often associated with other syndromes and congenital deformity, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, arthrogryposis, skeletal dysplasias, focusing treatment not only on the foot and ankle but the entire lower extremity. Treatment includes both nonoperative and operative techniques including bracing and shoe lifts, osteotomies, and soft tissue procedures.
