AbstractThe economic importance of the food industry for different nations can be seen from the amount of revenue generated and jobs created. The aim of this chapter is to provide an overview of the food industry, as one of the largest- manufacturing sectors in North America and other regions. The chapter is divided into 3 sections. 1.
