Abstract
The article entitled "Food Theory in Sirupanaatruppatai" is taken from the book Pathuppattu of the Pathinenmelkanakku, which was written in the Sangam period. The manner in which the Tamils gave food to those coming home is explained. It is known about the condition of Sirupanan before he saw Nalliyakodan, the layout of the lands on his way, and the food provided to them by the people living there. Also, natural resources can be seen existing in those days. The manner in which the kings fed the servants is also depicted. Common people also enjoyed helping others in whatever way they could. People entertained the Panars who came on foot and the people who came along with them. They removed their tiredness and fed them. Mullai, Marutham, and It can be seen that a small troop of Panars passed through the inhabited areas in the Mullai, Marutham, and Neithal lands and were treated with love and kindness by all. Three land systems out of five types of land and the lifestyles of the people living in them can also be seen in this article.
