Abstract
Allergic reactions to food occur in schools, with some reactions leading to hospitalization. However, schools are not required to stock epinephrine auto-injectors or have protocols for when an allergic reaction occurs. Though there is CDC guidance on how to manage children with food allergies in schools, allergic reactions to foods continue to occur.
