Abstract
Este trabalho buscou desenvolver um estudo exploratório do desenvolvimento da história oral, a aceitação acadêmica e o uso de fontes orais e o recente método de análise fotográfica oral na constituição da fonte oral. Foram também abordadas as relações entre a ciência da informação e o profissional da informação com a constituição da história oral contemporânea.
