Abstract
Objective To observe the prognosis of cultivate positive cases with nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM).Methods 37 cultivate positive cases with NTM were treated for six months,and given over one-year-long follow-up observation,then we compared the NTM culture,improved clinical symptoms and absorption of pulmonary focus before and after follow-up study.Results Among 37 cases,there were 18 positive cases after treatment for six months,clinical symptoms disappeared or improved in 32 cases,15 cases of pulmonary focus absorption,but after one year or longer follow-up observation,there were 27 positive cases,and 32 cases with clinical symptoms recurrent and aggravated,the difference was statistically significant (the x 2 values were 4.593 and 6.852,the P values were 0.032 and 0.009).Conclusion The recent term treatment of NTM culture positive is acceptable,but the prognosis is poor.
