Abstract

Aim Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides (FMF) is a rare variant of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma with distinct clinicopatholgical features. It usually presents as multiple skin lesions, progressing stepwise from a scaly rash to patches to plaques to tumours. Method A single case study of a 64-year-old man who presented to ENT clinic with indurated red boggy right pre-auricular skin for approximately 9 months with no response to antibiotic therapy. Incisional biopsy showed cysts with keratin-like material within. Results The histology showed prominent lymphocytic infiltrate with aberrant phenotype within hyperplastic hair follicle. Discussion We present here the clinical presentation and histological features of FMF. We also discuss the therapy and expected outcome.
