Abstract
The Health Education Authority is launching a major public education campaign to increase awareness of the benefits of folic acid in preventing neural tube defects. The aim of the campaign is to increase the average intake of folic acid and folates in women who may become pregnant. This article gives a preview of the campaign's message.
