Abstract

Wave front dislocation arising in the interference optical fields1 have became an independent object under study and indicator of a number wave phenomenon and processes in the nonlinear optics2 and laser physics. Presence of the dislocations is the main obstacle to the phase compensation in the adaptive optics system Moreover, the research branch connected with the use of the dislocations to control the natural media is developing. Dislocation forming has been considered in this paper on the base of solution of the problem of wave phase retrieval from the measurements of intensity distributions I(ρ, z). When the intensity takes zero values the phase of the 3-dimensional field S(ρ, z) has been found to consist of the potential and vortex parts. Each part is due to the potential and vortex components of the Umov-Pointing vector, respectively. The intensity zeros are the discontinuity points (anomaly) for the phase potential part and the centers of spiral dislocations for the phase vortex part.
