Abstract
This paper introduces focusedDFT, a novel Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) implementation optimized for short signals with low frequency components, particularly where a single frequency component is of interest. The results suggest focusedDFT as a viable and efficient solution for vibration-based damage detection methods, offering improved execution times compared to traditional DFT approaches.
