Abstract

Two 49 and 58 y.o. females with dystonic head tremor treated with BoNT-A for many years developed recurrent cervical swelling and soreness, dysphagia and dysphonia 2–3 weeks after bilateral treatment of sternocleidomastoid, splenius and semispinalis capitis muscles with still good effect on dystonia. One pt. further showed a rash and the clinical vignette of acute hyperthyroidism with arterial hypertension, tachycardia, bronchial hypersecretion and brisk DTR in spite of normal thyroid tests.
