Abstract

A case of focal epithelial hyperplasia in a black woman is reported. What is believed to be the first case of focal epithelial hyperplasia in a black is reported. The painless lesions appear on the lips, cheeks, tongue, and palate, and the condition is viewed as a benign change of unknown origin.
