Abstract

To realize fast and accurate implementation of frequency-modulation continuous-wave (FMCW) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging, a 2D sparse matrix recovery model is developed. Then, in order to effectively solve the matrix recovery problem, a 2D fast hybrid OMP algorithm is proposed. Compared with the conventional matched filter based imaging method, the proposed method can achieve sidelobe-reduced focused image, making weak target clearly distinguished. Compared to the conventional CS based imaging method via 1D OMP algorithm, the proposed method can output the same results with much reduced computational time and memory usage. Experiment results obtained by an FMCW SAR system are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed imaging method.
