Abstract
Improved apparatus for the flux growth of crystals under reducing conditions is described. Crucibles of graphite or molybdenum were used for the growth of KFeF 3, RbFeF 3, CrF 2 and KVF 4. The two latter compounds have not previously been prepared as single crystals.
