Abstract
Deliciously eccentric, stylishly arranged, and uncompromising, Peter Strickland's latest film, Flux Gourmet, is a tale of culinary and alimentary performance, but this latest outing of the British director is all spice and no flavour. His first film since 2018, it only deepens his dive into the bizarre world that we now know he calls home. Although striking and provocative, it stops there in terms of impact on his audience. This highly conceptual piece lacks a sense of togetherness and seems to wander directionless, albeit through a glorious and intriguing landscape.
