Abstract

This paper describes measured flux distributions in the wound core of the single-phase transformer and of the three-phase three-legs transformer. It is known that the distortion of flux waveforms in the wound core of the three-phase transformer becomes large, because several wound cores are assembled. However, the measured results of the flux distribution have not been reported. In order to reduce the loss of the transformer core, it is necessary to clear the flux distribution in the assembled core. In this paper, the results of experimental investigation for the flux distribution and the distortion factor in model wound cores are presented. This paper pointed out that the local flux concentration occurred not only at window-side but also has been observed outside of the wound cores because of separated magnetic paths.
