Abstract

Background Ecologically, crude oil is a powerful pollutant of the environment, including soil, sea, lake and ground waters. That is why the task of detecting environmental pollution by oil and assessing the degree of pollution is important and highly relevant. Aims and Objectives To develop a methodology for determining sea pollutants composition contaminated by a mixture of two different types of oil using a fluorescent method. Results The peculiarities of fluorescent radiation of various types of oil during their laser radiation make it possible to develop methods for identifying types of oil pollutants of sea water with a limited set of relevant information. A method for determining the type of hydrocarbon pollutants of sea water is developed when they are contaminated by two different types of oil using a fluorescent method. The task is to determine both the types of oil present in the water and to establish the degree of water pollution by various types of this pollutant.
