Abstract

A preliminary report is presented on measurements of fluorescence K band spectra for Ti, V, Cr and Fe with a two-crystal spectrometer. The results for Cr are compared with XPS measurements and DOS curve based on APW calculations. The highest occupied part of the DOS curve is found to be attenuated in the K band measurements because of the high contribution of the d like states to the total DOS in this region.
