Abstract

Aggregation-Induced Emission In article number 2100706 by Wai-Yeung Wong, Sijie Chen, and co-workers, cationic Ir(III) complexes with aggregation-induced emission properties are reported. These red phosphors can stain both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and demonstrate various photocytotoxicities against the bacteria. The results imply that phosphorescent metal complexes are potential candidates for bacterial imaging and efficient photo-based antibacterial agents.
