Abstract

Fluorescence and phosphorescence spectra of single crystals of Ba(NO 2) 2·H 2O were studied at 4.2 K. The spectra are dominated by two series of narrow zero-phonon lines accompanied by a number of sub-series in the phonon sidebands, one of which has been assigned to Na +-induced singlet-exciton traps.
