Abstract

The paper analyses the behaviour of distilled water and chemicals as potential materials for an antenna. The transmitting mode characteristics observably the power pattern at various frequencies is studied along with the receiving mode characteristics - antenna factor and input impedances are analysed for all composition of fluids in it. The response variations to varying fluid lengths are also measured and compared with the simulated results. Temperature variations of the results are also discussed. The measured results are compared with the ones simulated using CST MICROWAVE STUDIO <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">®</sup> . The potential applications of such antennas are discussed later.
