Abstract

The paper presents the issue of waste heat recovery in high-efficiency power units. Structures of flue gas heat recovery systems (FGHRS) are presented starting from the system with heating of flue gases after their desulphurization. Systems using waste heat of flue gas to heat feed water in low-pressure and high-pressure regeneration are discussed. In addition, the results of simulation are presented in order to assess the potential for efficiency increase by using a heat recovery system in the 900 MW class lignite-fired power unit.
