Abstract

Abstract : The long-term goal of this project is quantitative understanding of the physics governing the broadband frequency (50 Hz to 50 kHz) acoustic signal propagation, reflection, refraction and scattering in shallow water and coastal regions in the presence of temporal and spatial ocean variability. The complications presented by this variability in the ocean and the seabed environment are significant and must be considered for application development.
