Abstract

In this paper, we provide a bounded-confidence opinion model and focus on the study of the fluctuation strength resulting from fluctuating opinions' long-range interactions. In our model, there are stubborn agents and regular agents, where each stubborn agent never changes its opinion but a regular agent updates its opinion using other agents' opinion values according to its confidence bound. We show the fluctuation phenomena of this model and provide an estimation of the fluctuation strength of this opinion model based on some parameters.
