Abstract

Fluctuations within the Hubbard model are accounted for be selfconsistenly introducing the local exchange field probability density as a functional order parameter. Phase transitions are replaced by a cross-over between a quasi-local-moment insulating regime and a spin fluctuation metallic one. The magnetic susceptibility evolves from Curie-like to Pauli-like.
