Abstract

Polycrystalline sintered samples of Y1-xGdxBa2Cu3O7- delta have been prepared and their excess conductivity Delta sigma (T) has been analysed. The fluctuation conductivity shows dimensional cross-over, and the 3D character is well described by the Aslamasov-Larkin contribution. By using these data and the dimensional cross-over temperature T0, the interlayer coherence length xi c(0) is evaluated. The temperature dependence of the Hall number and the T2 dependence of the inverse Hall mobility show an anomaly above 220 K and deviations from linearity at temperatures below 150 K in the fluctuation conductivity regime.
