Abstract

This paper deals with flow-field assessments on redirection around the Huygens probe during its entry into Titan atmosphere. New flow-field computations have been performed in order to consider updated predictions of Titan atmosphereand new entry conditions. They focus on heat fluxes. Species molar fractions and flow-field parameters have been computed with different codes and compared. Flow-field emission has been deducted and integrated. Flow-field/radiation coupling computations have been performed and its influence on convective and radiative heat fluxes is presented. The influence of absorption phenomena and spectral resolution is analyzed.
