Abstract
Flowering of Cymodocea rotundata Ehrenb. & Hempr. ex Aschers. has been reported in natural seagrass beds only in 1871 and 1967. The production of staminate flowers on three separate occasions in 1977–1978 in experimental cultures transplanted from Kayangel Atoll suggests primarily temperature control.
